Q2: What voltage does the dimming film require?

A: The standard operating voltage of our dimming film is 12V DC. It cannot be directly connected to household AC power (110V/220V). We provide a matching power adapter (AC-DC converter) for each product to convert household electricity to safe 12V DC. For larger installations (such as office partitions over 10㎡), we recommend using a dedicated power supply with overload protection.

Q3: What happens if Smart Film is accidentally scratched or damaged?

A: Minor surface scratches (e.g., from soft objects) can be polished with a mild glass polish. However, deep scratches that damage the conductive layer or liquid crystal core will cause permanent loss of functionality in the affected area—repair is not possible, and the damaged section must be replaced. For this reason, avoid contact with sharp objects during installation and use.

Q4: Can Smart Film be cut to custom sizes?

A: Yes. Smart Film is supplied in large rolls and can be precisely cut to fit any glass size or shape (e.g., rectangular, circular, irregular patterns) before installation. However, cutting must be done by professionals with specialized tools to avoid damaging the internal conductive layer—do not attempt to cut it yourself after peeling off the protective film.
